Microsoft Office 365 to get fresh updates every 90 days

Microsoft promises to update its Office 365 every 90 days or three months. The Redmond software giant’s Office division head Mr. Kurt DelBene has revealed this plan. That is, in every three months, you can enjoy something new with the Microsoft Office 365. “We already have the mechanisms in place to update the service on a quarterly basis,” Mr. Kurt said. Indeed, regular updating will make the package more enticing to consumers.
The Microsoft executive stated that the Office 365 updates will get into a routine of a “major-minor cadence”. That is, some updates will bring a set of fresh features; some updates will add lots of sweeping changes and some others will just bring some design changes. So like, one quarter, there will be updates only for MS Word; in next quarter, it will get for Excel only and so on. At all, updates will “get into the short cycle where we can add more features, but then we’ll have a longer cycle where we really have to intensively change underpinnings of the services,” he said.
“One quarter, Microsoft Word could be updated, and the next could be Excel. The cycle would continue throughout Microsoft’s entire list of Office products,” writes Slash Gear referring to Gartner analyst, Michael Silver. Overall, software updates will refresh the Office package every now and then. As a result, it will be fresh always. You can enjoy all scope and possibilities of Microsoft Office’s various features and capabilities this way.
